How to get help with starting a shoe brand
So you want to start a shoe brand, but you’ve realised you don’t know where to begin. Perhaps you know you need help and support, information, guides, templates, and footwear industry connections but can’t find what you need online. The good news is, there are resources out there to help you. Watch the video above, or read on…
5 ways you can get help with starting your shoe brand
1. Ask Google
Google “shoe factories” and find one risky online marketplace and a company that demands a high fee just to get you a basic sample. Panic and go down one of these expensive, terrifying and risky routes.
2. Become a spy
Get a job making tea at a shoe company, think you’re going to learn how to run a shoe brand by befriending someone in every department. Get told by HR not to be so “creepy”, and leave on a bad note.
Now I warn you, 3, 4 and 5 are actually really practical
3. Ask an expert
Realise you need help from an experienced industry professional. Get one-to-one consultancy, including the right manufacturing connections for your product, bespoke advice on pricing, range building, and marketing, and support on every step of your journey.
4. Take a course
If you’re a self-starter who likes to go at your own pace, invest in an online course that will take you from concept, to launching your shoe brand and beyond. Packed with advice from industry professionals and shoe brand founders, you’ll love my How to Start a Shoe Brand course with its templates and easy to follow process.
